Light colors will look good. Light green (monochromatic) and light blue maybe mixed with yellow. Use light if you want your room look bigger,if not then darker colors will look just fine.

Stick to earth colors - brick red, burgundy, pastels of green, olive green, pastels of blue as well. Brown is the easiest color to combine other colors with but make sure they are lighter in tone - meaning, they're not as dark or as strong as the brown. Pastels are like powder colors - meaning they're a hint of a certain base color. For chocolate brown, try pastels of yellow, green, ochre (brick red or lighter), then for highlights, try touches of red and gold. Better yet, ask the paint store for swatches of paint colors and find a combination you can live with.

Light green to accent your bedding would be a nice compliment, but just about anything can go with brown. Since you most likely will have your furniture longer that your bedding, you could also go with some other ideas like peach, cream, golden yellow or even a light brown like a toffee or cappuchino type color. The light brown would give you a monochrome effect so you might want to brighten it up with some colorful drapes or throw pillows.

Just remember, its only paint - if you finish one wall and decide that's not the color for you (its happened to me before) you can just pick another color and start again.

Good Luck!!!
