My furniture is chocolate brown, so is my bedding but the bedding has some blue and light green in it. I put some colors together with the brown but I didn’t think it looked right. Any suggestions? Please help!

honestly.. no matter what color you paint your walls, anything will look good with brown…. try for lighter colors though.. it wont make the room too dark, giving it the cavelike effect!

i would say cream, as if you paint your bedroom blue or green it will give it a cold feel. cream is neutral and i think would look lovely!

Light green to accent your bedding would be a nice compliment, but just about anything can go with brown. Since you most likely will have your furniture longer that your bedding, you could also go with some other ideas like peach, cream, golden yellow or even a light brown like a toffee or cappuchino type color. The light brown would give you a monochrome effect so you might want to brighten it up with some colorful drapes or throw pillows.

Just remember, its only paint - if you finish one wall and decide that’s not the color for you (its happened to me before) you can just pick another color and start again.

    Good Luck!!!

Stick to earth colors - brick red, burgundy, pastels of green, olive green, pastels of blue as well. Brown is the easiest color to combine other colors with but make sure they are lighter in tone - meaning, they’re not as dark or as strong as the brown. Pastels are like powder colors - meaning they’re a hint of a certain base color. For chocolate brown, try pastels of yellow, green, ochre (brick red or lighter), then for highlights, try touches of red and gold. Better yet, ask the paint store for swatches of paint colors and find a combination you can live with.

Light colors will look good. Light green (monochromatic) and light blue maybe mixed with yellow. Use light if you want your room look bigger,if not then darker colors will look just fine.

Pecan colored walls in a Satin finish. Keep ceiling flat white.
