Ask your parents to go with you to check out your local thrift stores..They often have nice furniture for VERY cheap prices..

Ask them.

Listen to their answer and respond to what they say.

By that I mean: Don’t get stuck in your ‘I want new’ and ‘this stuff sucks’ tantrum. Listen to their answers, their protests and objections, and answer accordingly.

They say it’s fine - it’s not. It’s too small.
They say the flowerprint does not matter - they have a point. But it’s still too small.

Negotiate your way down to what you really want.

The bigger bed is most important. Give in on other stuff and suggest a paint-job for stuff you don’t like the looks of - as long as you can get a bigger bed.
When they give in to the bed, say ‘with a night stand’.

Well firstly - have you asked them and what was their response? If it comes down to money, you could maybe bargain with them - eg, say if they bought you new furniture then you will do some chore for the next year, such as clean windows, cut lawn etc. Offer to pay as much as you can for it - you could say it was an advance on your christmas or birthday present. Have a look around for the furniture yourself - even check out second hand stores. Argos is pretty inexpensive too. Dont be demanding or huffy as - you need to prove that you deserve it.

They probably already know. Maybe they are saving up for a nice set…or they are trying to surprise you. If they are doing stuff to your room, it is probably in the works! Try not to say anything about furniture so when it happens, they will feel like they gotcha!
